The
Problem
YOU SPEND A THIRD OF YOUR LIFE THERE.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SLEEPING WITH? |
Dust
mites in our mattresses are a mighty big problem. Only
pollen causes more allergic reactions than the allergens
found in dust mite excrement.
|
|
They
are a major trigger for asthma and rhinitis, eczema,
morning stuffy nose, wheezing or tight chest, and sinusitis.
|
 |
We
shed about a gram of bacteria-laden dead skin each
night as we sleep and produce up to half a litre
of sweat. The bed's warm, moist environment is the
perfect breeding ground for the dust mite which feeds
on the shed skin. In
just a few weeks, each mite lays about 50 eggs and produces
a high volume of excrement. There are an estimated 1-million
mites in the average double bed mattress (see
The Mattress Health Check VIDEO).
|
Canada
is facing a wave of chronic respiratory diseases, according
to
the Public Health Agency of Canada. The Canadian
Lung Association says one of the main causes for this
increase is the dust mite which thrives in mattresses,
sofas, stuffed
chairs and bedding. It's not the mite itself that is
the problem. It's the protein in their fecal matter that
causes
the trouble. Sleep
Clean has the solution. >
